Privacy on ABAEthics.org

ABAEthics.org is operated by Special Learning, Inc. It is a public directory of ABA organizations in the United States.

The directory itself is public.

Organization listings — name, location, contact details, and the verification facts we publish — are visible to anyone. That is what the site is for.

What we collect when you claim or correct a listing.

The claim form asks for your name, your role and your relationship to the organization, a work email address, the correction you are proposing, and a link to evidence a reviewer can check. You may also add optional context.

Why we collect it.

To decide whether a proposed correction is genuine and accurate before it changes a public listing, and to contact you about that submission if we need to.

What happens to it.

Your submission goes to a person for review. It does not change the public directory automatically. If your correction is published, the corrected information appears on the public listing. Your email address and your relationship to the organization are not published.

How long we keep it.

We keep your submission while it is under review, and we keep the record of a decided submission so we can show why a listing says what it says. We do not delete it on a fixed schedule today. Write to contact@special-learning.com and we will delete your contact details on request.

Who else can see it.

Our reviewers, and the service providers who host the site for us. We do not sell it and we do not use it to market to you. If you ticked “ABAEthics may contact me about this submission”, we may write to you about that submission — nothing else.

What you can ask us to do.

Write to contact@special-learning.com and we will tell you what we hold about your submission, correct it, or delete it — including withdrawing a submission that has not yet been published. If a correction has already changed a public listing, tell us and we will review the listing again.
